Winry needs very little about you: a wallet address and the site you upload. This page explains what we keep and why.
What we store
- Your wallet address, to know which sites are yours, and a sign-in cookie that keeps your wallet signed in to My Sites.
- Orders and payments: the domain, the term, the prices, and the Solana transactions that paid for them.
- Your site files, on our servers and in a private backup, so we can build and serve your site.
What we don’t collect
We don’t ask for your name, email address or postal address, unless you choose to email us. Domains are registered under Winry’s own account and contact details, with WHOIS privacy on, so your details never appear in WHOIS. We don’t use advertising or analytics trackers.
We don’t log visitors’ IP addresses, on winry.tools or on the sites we host. An IP address is used briefly, in memory, to stop people from spamming domain searches, and Cloudflare handles it as part of delivering traffic.
Who else sees data
- Cloudflare sits in front of every site and winry.tools, and stores site images and private backups of uploaded files.
- Our domain registrar receives the domain names we register, with Winry’s details, not yours.
- The Solana network: payments are public on-chain, like any Solana transaction.
- The tools we use to run Winry, such as our server host and the alerts we receive when something needs attention. An alert includes the site’s domain, our internal order number, and a description of the problem.
- Anyone can visit the sites you publish. Don’t upload anything you want to keep private.
We don’t sell your data.
How long we keep it
- Uploaded files that are never launched are deleted after 3 hours.
- A site’s files are deleted when you take it down, or when its domain expires.
- Orders and payment records are kept for accounting.
